We love Hawaii. There is something truly special about it. And although I haven’t even seen half of it (yet), I don’t think there is any place better. From the moment you step off the airplane you get hit by the smell. I don’t know if it’s the humid air, the ocean, or all the fragrant flowers, but Hawaii has a wonderful smell, it’s probably the combination of all three. The smell combined with the warmth in the air, it’s like calm settles over you…and you haven’t even reached the beach yet.
Each time we’ve visited Hawaii we learned more about the history and the culture of Hawaii life. Even though it’s part of the United States, they have a different lifestyle and it almost seems like a country in itself.
One of the best things about travelling to Hawaii for us is that it’s not too far away, yet it’s a truly tropical destination. A six hour plane ride, and we can usually get tickets for $500 per person, and we can be in paradise. Soft sandy beaches, surf of all sizes, exotic fish and turtles, and sunsets…ah some of my favorite things.
Although we’ve only been to Maui and Kauai…so far, Hawaii really does have a special place in my heart. Want to hear about some of our adventures, here are some of the highlights:
